The HAF programme (Holiday activities and food programme) has been supporting CEET since 2022. This is for our refugees and children on free school meals. Thank you so much Devon County Council.

Over the years, our HAF activities have included:

  • taking our Ukrainians to Tamar Lakes where we went for a beautiful walk, made Christingles and Christmas wreaths and ate a delicious traditional Christmas meal. Everyone went home with a food hamper and a Christmas present.

  • Winter Solstice at the lake! 10 young people went stand-up paddle boarding, played team games, cooked a healthy meal and then we all went to Tesco where in small groups, the children collected a hamper of food of their choice to take home. This included a meat or veggie option, vegetables, a present for their parents or guardians and some treats and items of their own choices.

  • At our allotment where the young people take part in art, crafts, DIY, games, gardening, helping prepare and cook a healthy meal (on a fire) using vegetables that we have grown, environmental science, walking and lots more.

  • For each Christmas HAF project, the young people go to Tesco with a CEET volunteer where they choose food to buy (money kindly donated from Devon County Council) to take home.

If you would like to your young person to join the CEET 2024 Easter, Summer or Christmas HAF project, then please contact: hello@ceetcic.com to book your young person’s place.
